Molar Woes

I think my baby girl (who isn't so babyish anymore) is growing some molars. She has been miserable all week! She will be eating her dinner and then out of the blue stick her bottom lip out and start sobbing...I don't know what that is all about. But yes, she does have a fever, lots of slobber, wakes up crying around midnight, and is very attached to me right now. So...what do I do? How have my friends made it through the Molar woes...or do you think its some kind of bug? Please help me, the clueless mother!

Airport Angels

I was very nervous to fly out to Utah and then back here. I always have so much stuff and am so worried about how the baby will be on the flights. Luckily I was surrounded by airport angels (a.k.a people who took time to notice a Mother flying alone with her baby, and offered their assistance.) On every flight and in every airport I had numerous people offer to help me get my stroller up or place my bags in the overhead bins and then take them down for me when I needed it. Even on the plane where my baby screamed for the first hour, and I knew that everyone was cursing me, a woman who was sitting across from me helped me off of the plane and talked with me all the way out of the terminal. All I have to say is THANK YOU to my airport angels who helped a stressed out mother be able to relax just a bit and know that I would be able to make it to my destination in one piece. Its so refreshing to be able to be helped out from people who don't know me and don't know the impact they made on me. So, today take a moment to help out a stranger, or someone who may need a little hello. You may be surprised at the impact you make!

Blessings from Heaven

I have returned from my visit from Utah, and have spent a wonderful 10 day's with my brother, whom I have not seen for 2 years. Over the last few weeks my heart has been so happy and I have been feeling so uplifted and blessed. I found this scripture and I feel that the promise from the Lord is being manifest in my life.
Malachi 3:10
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to recieve it."
Blessings are pouring out on me and my family! It may not be in the form of riches, but I feel the Lord is in my life, and helping me realize the many blessings that I have been blessed with.
What are blessings the Lord has poured out on your head? Have you taken time recently to ponder this?

Shhhh....

My brother is returning from his two year mission in Minneapolis, MN tomorrow. I haven't seen him for two whole years! I was lucky enough to get a hold of his return flight information and was able to work it out to where I am flying out of Minneapolis with him on his same flight, sitting right next to him. YAY!! I am so excited! He doesn't know this yet though. He thinks that I am already in Utah with the rest of my family, waiting to greet him as he gets off the plane. I will keep you all posted as to how the reuniting goes! I'm sure it will involve from screams of joy and some tears. Can't hardly wait until tomorrow! Whohoo!

Pamper Yourself!

Today has been totally about me and it has been soooooo NICE! My sister watched the baby while I went to my new favorite salon and got my head massaged, and my hair washed and trimmed. It was so fun! Then my mother-in-law watched the baby while I went and got a 1 hour massage. I am so happy and relaxed right now. What a beautiful day. When was the last time you pampered yourself? If you can't remember then it has been way to long! Pamper yourself TODAY! Seriously!

Go to the store and buy yourself a cantaloupe put it in your fridge to chill and eat it with dinner today. It is so refreshing! Even the color of Cantaloupe is refreshing! I am so happy to see the cantaloupe is available once again at the grocery store! What fruits do you keep on hand to get you through the winter? What fruits get you excited for spring?

The Parking Spot

I was at a local grocery, Meijer, last week and was able to get this amazing parking spot, two stalls away from the front door. I had a ton of grocery shopping to do so I was very excited to have been so lucky to get a close stall. So, I hauled my baby and diaper bag into the store and started the shopping. I ended up having to figure out how to keep the baby happy while I rummaged up and down the isles multiple times until I found what I needed. After way to much time in the grocery store, as my baby was screaming at me and letting me know she did not appreciate her time buckled into a shopping cart, we finally finished. I walked out the store pushing the cart with one hand and carrying the baby in the other. Thank goodness for not having to walk very far. I parked the cart at the back of my vehicle while I buckled the baby into her car seat and then turned on the car. When I turned around there was a vehicle waiting for me to back out. I couldn't believe it! How long had they already been waiting? Who knows? She could obviously see that my shopping cart was overflowing with plastic bags and she would still have to wait a while before she could get my spot. Because I am slightly defiant and flustered when people do this to me, I took my time unpacking my cart, and then walked it to the cart parking spot. All the while this lady has her blinker on and is giving me a dirty look. The least she could have done is hoped out of her car and help me unpack my cart in order to assist both of our needs more quickly. Honestly is it worth it to wait 5 or more minutes for a close parking spot? Or, is it better to just find another spot, that isn't all that much further away and walk into the store and have 1/2 of your shopping finished by the time the parking spot is available? Are you my reader a parking spot hunter who waits patiently/or impatiently for however long it takes to get the closest parking stall available? Or do you choose to park and walk? Me personally, I will take the walking. A little more exercise could never do me harm.
